Welcome To our
October Madness Photo Album

These photos were taken during the month of October by our stalwart WebMaster Patrick Buryk and captured using a "Snappy." Enjoy the views! Who knows if you visit us in May-June for Pick your own Strawberries & Raspberries you just might find yourself a star.

If you've visited us and have some pictures we will be glad to give you credit if we post them. You are also welcome to download any of these pictures for personal use but you may not re-post them elsewhere or publish them without our written permission. Thanks and enjoy.

A hayride scene

Welcome from Kurt Alsted. Kurt is the youg man who has been farming Goughryn for the past ten years. He also farms about 1000 acres in Chester and operates the stand on our farm as well as his year round market on route 24.

As you can see Kurt is quite busy and attends to many of the details himself. I often wonder just how he finds the time to sleep.

This is Jon, our WebMaster's son, getting the feel for one of the tractors we had on display.

Tractors are pretty durable and long lasting. We use a John Deere model 40 that was purchased in 1939 and has been in continuous use since. It's a good thing since tractors cost a lot more than you might imagine.

Jon is around the farm a lot and in a few years who knows you just might see him driving one of the hayrides.

I want one of these!

The alstede scarecrow

This is a shot of our scarecrow mascot and Kurt's stand. The stand is open April through October and offers many different seasonal themes.

The scarecrow doesn't have a name but we'll work on it for next year. Maybe you have a good name to suggest? If you do let us know. You can E-mail us at: wcogger@goughryn.com.

If we pick your name we'll post your picture.
